Police arrested a 14-year-old on Tuesday night in connection with the massive fire that burned down an historic synagogue on the Lower East Side.
A huge fire that burned down the 167-year-old Beth Hamedrash Hagadol on Manhattan’s Lower East Side has wiped out lingering preservation hopes.
“We see kids running from the area — we don’t know if they were inside, we don’t know if they were responsible for the fire,” an officer said.
