Extremists Target Arab Cars in East Jerusalem
Eight Arab-owned cars were vandalized in a Palestinian neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem in a suspected price-tag attack.
The cars in the Shufat neighborhood were spray painted with the words “Gaza price tag.” Their tires also were punctured, according to reports. “Price tag” refers to the strategy that Jewish extremists have adopted to exact a price in attacks on Palestinians and Arabs in retribution for settlement freezes and demolitions, or for Palestinian attacks on Jews.
Earlier this month two other cars in Shufat were vandalized, also in apparent price tag attacks.
The graffiti comes on the heels of Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza.
