Trump Lawyers Wanted Jared Kushner Dumped Over Russia Probe

President Trump’s legal team reportedly wanted Jared Kushner fired over his involvement in the Russia collusion scandal — but his father-in-law refused to dump him.
The Wall Street Journal said “some” of Trump’s shifting legal team recommended in June that Kushner be ousted from his position as a top White House adviser.
Trump, whose daughter Ivanka Trump is married to Kushner, refused to heed their advice, insisting Kushner did nothing wrong.
Kushner has had several known meetings with Russian officials and attended a meeting with a lawyer linked to President Vladimir Putin who promised dirt on opponent Hillary Clinton.
He also met with a representative of a state-run Russian bank, possibly as part of an effort to raise cash for his family’s real estate empire. _
