What Did Allen Know, and Was it on Tuesday?
Today’s Washington Post’s interview contains several interesting nuggets. But at least one noteworthy point is not spelled out: If Henrietta “Etty” Allen is telling the truth, then her son would appear to have told one big lie in his statement Tuesday.
Allen’s mother told the Washington Post that in August she told her son that her parents had been Jewish and that she was raised Jewish. But in his Tuesday statement Allen said: “I was raised as a Christian and my mother was raised as a Christian.”
We have a call into Allen’s campaign manager for an explanation.
