Steven Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’ Tribute

With his new movie “Lincoln” playing in theaters nationwide, Steven Spielberg paid tribute to the 16th President by giving the keynote speech at a ceremony at Soldiers’ National Cemetery commemorating the 149th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address.

It looks like recently separated Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman can still be friends. They both attended DeVito’s niece’s recent wedding, where they managed to sit together and appear to get along.

Check out Andy Cohen impersonating Donald Trump on the Wendy Williams Show. We love the toupe.

We didn’t expect it to be long before Scarlett Johansson had a new beau following her break up with Nate Naylor. Her latest squeeze is a Frenchman named Romain Dauriac, whom she may have met through Fuzi Uvtpk, the French tattoo artist who recently inked the actress with a “Lucky You” horseshoe design.

Speaking of couples, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis apparently enjoyed an authentic Italian spaghetti and meatballs dinner in Rome, where Kunis is shooting a film.

Governor Chris Christie and jack-of-all-trades funnyman Seth MacFarlane are on the list. She’s, of course, keeping mum on the three most fascinating people until the big reveal.

For those of you who absolutely need to know more about Bethenny Frankel, there’s this HuffPo interview with her that covers everything from what her last meal would be if she were on death row (she’d be there for killing another housewife), to whether she scoops out her bagels, to what inappropriate question she would ask Kim Kardashian.

And finally, in celebrity sightings, we have: Liev Schreiber and son Sasha cheering at a Knicks game; Lea Michele and co-star Chris Colfer “Glee”-fully shooting scenes in Manhattan; Sarah Michelle Gellar walking, talking and eating with hubby Freddie Prinze, Jr. in Santa Monica; Nikki Reed and husband Paul McDonald posing at the Rolling Stone AMA after-party; Kate Hudson cuddling with her toddler Bingham; Rachel Zoe and little son Sklyar both looking very fashion forward in West Hollywood; and Emmy Rossum posing with an expertly cooked Thanksgiving turkey on the set of her new film, “You’re Not You.”

In this age of misinformation, our work is needed like never before. We report on the news that matters most to American Jews, driven by truth, not ideology.

At a time when newsrooms are closing or cutting back, the Forward has removed its paywall. That means for the first time in our 126-year history, Forward journalism is free to everyone, everywhere. With an ongoing war, rising antisemitism, and a flood of disinformation that may affect the upcoming election, we believe that free and open access to Jewish journalism is imperative.

Readers like you make it all possible. Right now, we’re in the middle of our Passover Pledge Drive and we still need 300 people to step up and make a gift to sustain our trustworthy, independent journalism.

Make a gift of any size and become a Forward member today. You’ll support our mission to tell the American Jewish story fully and fairly.
