Report: West Bank’s Jewish Population Exceeds 300,000
More than 300,000 Jews live in the West Bank, according to a new report.
The number of Jewish residents in West Bank settlements increased 2.3 percent, to 304,569, from January to June 30, according to a report by the Israel Defense Forces Civil Administration.
Most of the growth took place in the fervently Orthodox communities of Modi’in Ilit and Beitar Ilit, which had population increases of 4.5 percent and 3.1 percent, respectively.
The figures do not include Jews living in unauthorized West Bank outposts, Ha’aretz pointed out.
