The same challah that’s been included in kosher gift baskets and delivered to homes across the country by Challah Connection of Fairfield County, Connecticut, is now feeding Tevye, Golde and the rest of the “Fiddler on the Roof” cast on Broadway.
has become Fiddler’s “Official Nosh Partner,” delivering 16 kosher challahs every week to The Broadway Theatre in Manhattan. The festive breads appear as props in the production.
The partnership has inspired Challah Connection to create new gift offerings such as “Tevye’s Traditions” and “Golde’s Bakery Gems,” which customers can find on Challah Connection’s new web page.
Challah Connection owner Jane Moritz says she’s thrilled to be partnering with Fiddler. “It is one of the greatest highlights of my 13 years owning Challah Connection,” she told the Forward. “Being a part of this timeless story and seeing our challah on stage brings tears to my eyes.”
