Chelsea Clinton’s Nice Jewish Boy
Rumors are rampant that Chelsea Clinton and her longtime beau, Marc Mezvinsky, who is Jewish, are getting ready to tie the knot on Chappaquiddick island, off Martha’s Vineyard. The New York Post’s Page Six today ran a photo of a Chappaquiddick property where “a stage was being built and a large tent, capable of seating hundreds, was going up” above the headline “Buzz builds on Chelsea’s nups.”
If the speculation, which the Clinton camp is flat-out denying, turns out to be true, might the nuptials involve a rabbi?
A 2007 New York Times profile of the former first daughter, which called her “a Christmas-cookie-baking, churchgoing Methodist,” also reported that “Ms. Clinton recently attended Sabbath dinner at the home of [her friend Daniela] Amini’s parents with the hope of learning more about Judaism, Mr. Mezvinsky’s faith.”
