Museum Explores the Jewish Experience
The Museum of the City of New York presents a series of events in conjunction with the exhibition The Jewish Daily Forward: Embracing an Immigrant Community.
Ruth Westheimer will discuss the Bintel Brief, the Forward’s recently revived advice column, with Forward Web editor Daniel Treiman; Broadway producer Stewart Lane, New Yorker film critic David Denby, actress Tovah Feldshuh and others will explore the ways in which Jews have influenced Broadway and Hollywood; Joseph Berger will talk about his new book, “The World in a City” (please see book review on this page), and filmmaker Kate Feiffer (daughter of artist Jules) will attend a screening and lead a discussion on her documentary “Matzo & Mistletoe,” which examines American secular Judaism.
