Lieberman-Lamont Roundup: Joe Says He’s Ahead
Lieberman’s campaign releases poll that puts its guy way ahead.
Team Lieberman pulls down link to a doctored photo of Osama bin Laden with a Ned Lamont bumper sticker.
Lamont and Lieberman at it over Iraq. New Lamont ad asks: “Why do we listen when George Bush and Joe Lieberman tell us they know how to fight terrorists? What have they been right about so far?” Lieberman’s response: “Look, we can argue about what happened three and four and five years ago. It has some significance. Ultimately, history will be the judge of that. The reality is we are in Iraq now. The question is: How do we best conclude our involvement?”
Lamont’s new line: Joe was wrong to rebuke Bill over Monica. Ned on friendship: “You go up there, you sit down with one of your oldest friends and say, ‘You’re embarrassing yourself, you’re embarrassing your presidency, you’re embarrassing your family, and it’s got to stop.’”
Ned on Reaching Out: “Amongst moderates and Republicans, I’ve got to get more in front of them and introduce myself, because they didn’t have a chance to pay as much attention to the race.”
Yale students take sides.
Nedheads regroup.
