NOVEL JEWS
“Novel Jews” is a downtown reading series in New York that presents provocative and enlightening fiction and literary nonfiction by both today’s literary superstars and the emerging voices of tomorrow. The reading is co-sponsored by The Sol Goldman 14th Street Y, the JCC in Manhattan and the Forward.

Ted Solotaroff was an editor of Commentary and of Book Week before he founded the influential literary journal American Review. His essays and reviews have appeared in The New Republic, The Nation, Esquire and The Atlantic Monthly, among others publications. He is the author of “First Loves” (Seven Stories Press, 2003) and “Truth Comes in Blows” (W.W. Norton & Company, 2000), and the winner of the PEN award.
Jennifer Traig is a frequent contributor to McSweeney’s and to the Forward. She is the author of a series of young adult books and co-author of a humor book, “Judaikitsch” (Chronicle Books, 2002). She will be reading from her new book, “Devil in the Details: Scenes From an Obsessive Girlhood” (Little, Brown).
