Comedians Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele Welcome The World’s Funniest Baby

The extremely bashert couple “Brooklyn 99” star Chelsea Peretti and “Get Out” creator Jordan Peele have welcomed their first child. The bravely-named Beaumont Gino Peele was born July 1st, but the couple, who eloped last year with only a dog for a witness, announced the birth today. With a comedy pedigree that includes half of the comedy-duo “Key and Peele” and a Jewish mother who has been involved with more or less every funny TV show in the last decade, Beaumont Gino will no doubt be a gift to this world. In fact, the Peele-Peretti baby started getting laughs while he was still in utero.

Behold: Chelsea Peretti used Twitter to elevate pregnancy problems into art. Mothers really are magic.

Luckily, her fans were supportive:

But people were still not afraid to ask questions: Just how long did she plan to stay pregnant for?

And finally, was she actually pregnant?

Welcome, baby Beau, mazal tov, Chelsea and Jordan, and thank god for mothers who are also comedians.

This is a moment of great uncertainty. Here’s what you can do about it.

We hope you appreciated this article. Before you go, we’d like to ask you to please support the Forward’s independent Jewish news this Passover.

This is a moment of great uncertainty for the news media, for the Jewish people, and for our sacred democracy. It is a time of confusion and declining trust in public institutions. An era in which we need humans to report facts, conduct investigations that hold power to account, tell stories that matter and share honest discourse on all that divides us.

With no paywall or subscriptions, the Forward is entirely supported by readers like you. Every dollar you give this Passover is invested in the future of the Forward — and telling the American Jewish story fully and fairly.

The Forward doesn’t rely on funding from institutions like governments or your local Jewish federation. There are thousands of readers like you who give us $18 or $36 or $100 each month or year.
