Too Convenient? Megan Fox Joins ‘The Dictator’ Film Cast
Though skeptical about conspiracy theories, The Shmooze can’t help but raise an eyebrow at the timing of Megan Fox’s latest career news.
Two days after director Michael Bay claimed that Steven Spielberg ordered the actress fired from “Transformers 3” because of a rather unfortunate comparison she made between Bay and Hitler, Fox has joined the cast of a movie called “The Dictator.”
Co-written by and starring “Borat” star Sacha Baron Cohen, the movie is loosely based on a book believed to have been written by Saddam Hussein, and is currently filming in New York City. It looks unusual, to say the least.
Fox’s return to the spotlight isn’t good news for her career alone: The swirl of attention earlier this week also provided extra publicity for the new “Transformers” movie, which hits theaters later this month.
Could the supposedly feuding Fox and Bay have colluded to generate some mutually beneficial public attention? The Shmooze isn’t the only blog to wonder.
